Music Workshop for My Ballet Students

Dance Accompanist Ho Wen Yang will give an interactive workshop on music for dancers. Especially useful for dancers with no music background, and also good for those with music background to understand rhythm and movement.

All my adult ballet students please try your best to attend! Those not learning under me can still join at a fee of $10.

Some details about Ho Wen Yang:
Facilitating this workshop will be the principal accompanist of School of the Arts, Singapore - Ho Wen Yang. He is also currently the pianist for the Singapore Dance Theatre.

Wen Yang has been in the field of dance accompaniment for about 7 years and has played for several schools including Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts and Lasalle College of the Arts. He has also accompanied many classical ballet and contemporary dance masterclasses for reputable teachers like Irek Mukhamedov, Han Kee Juan and Armgard von Bardeleben.

Wen Yang has also performed his own compositions and improvised on stage as a dance accompanist with the Singapore Dance Theatre for their Dance Appreciation Series 2006/2007, in "Scenes de Danse" choreogaphed by Rosanna Seravalli for the dance graduation concert of Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in 2007 and also "Etudes" for Singapore Ballet Academy 50th Anniversary Concert in 2008. Recently he also composed part of the music to Jeffrey Tan's choreography "Sometimes I think I remember" which was performed by the Singapore Dance Theatre in ReDoubled during the Da:ns Festival 2008.
